The Mazars consulting company was successful in the eighth annual “Tax Advisor and Tax Firm of the Year” awards. It was awarded the wonderful second place in the prestigious “Most Desirable Tax Employer” category. In addition, Mazars’ tax advisor Julie Prokopová, who is involved in the area of corporation income tax, won by a wide margin in the category of Rising Tax Star. Her colleague Petr Drahoš was also recognised, placing second in one of the main individual categories of the 2017 Tax Advisor of the Year awards: Value Added Tax. The winners were announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday, 15 February in Prague’s Hotel International.
The prestigious competition of tax specialists in the state and commercial spheres features a total of eight categories – Most Desirable Tax Employer, Brightest Rising Tax Stars, Brightest Tax Star – Value Added Tax, Brightest Tax Star – Corporate Income Tax, Brightest Tax Star – Tax Administration, Most Helpful Revenue Authority, Tax Personality of the Year in the Commercial Sphere and Tax Personality of the Year in the State Tax Sphere. The winners were chosen by the lay and professional public through voting over the Internet.

Petr, who has been working with us since the very beginning of his career and who has won this category many times in the past, is a sought-after expert and a huge inspiration for many younger colleagues. Compared to that, the success of Julie, who has been working with us for a relatively short time, is proof that Mazars, as an employer, has something to offer even more experienced professionals who have previously won this prestigious award.”
